EWB-MSOE designs and implements engineering projects in developing communities across the globe as it aims to give its students the opportunity to broaden their horizons and build a sense of international responsibility.

In general, we complete one project each year. We begin searching for projects in the winter so that we can survey the prospective sites in-country during our spring construction trip, which usually takes place in February. Then, we spend the spring and summer preparing and selecting designs for the system to be implemented. Once school starts in the fall, we finalize our designs and begin planning the construction trip and ordering materials. We finally complete the project with a construction trip during spring break in February and then begin all over again.
